Snacks for the Home Visitor

“Oh shoot, forgot to eat again!?!” Not to worry these snacks will sure to slay those hunger pangs. Now don’t get me wrong, Starbucks coffee and a Snickers bar is the breakfast of champions, and that greasy gas station hotdog sure can be tempting, but keeping some of these snacks on hand is super beneficial. On-hand snacks are great when you’re trying to stick to a budget or healthy meal plan. Keeping two or three snacks nearby will save you from giving into that delicious bag of Doritos (mmmm… Sooo good nom-nom-nom). Seriously, save your sanity and get some energizing snacks for your travels.

  • Dried fruits
  • Trail mix
  • Veggie sticks
  • Jerky
  • Nuts
  • Pistachios
  • Pumpkin seed
  • Protein bars
  • Granola bars

Be weary of anything chocolate covered. I have tried storing some chocolate for the afternoon hunger and when I am ready to eat I usually end up finding a goopy, melty, chocolatey mess.
